The scientific equipment available in our laboratories enables us to cover a large spectrum of tests. Each application being different, these tests allow us to identify the best product for the application. With the help of our engineer, we are capable of finding solutions to your most intricate bonding problems as well as offering rapid technical support in case of unforeseen issues.

Through our expertise and our testing, we are able to uncover solutions that are not immediately evident. For example, the use of an adhesion primer can sometimes offer a better bond for substrates that are difficult to bond with simple adhesives. In other cases, it is preferable to use an adhesive that is adapted to each substrate,  avoiding extra steps such as sandblasting or primer application.

Pressure Sensitive Tapes

Peeling Test

This test evaluates the performance of the adhesive tape. In the peeling test, a sample is applied onto a determined surface in order to measure the necessary force to peel it off. We are able to test on a variety of surfaces, whether it’s metals, plastics or even glass.

Tensile Test

This test determines the resistance of the tape when it is faced with a constraint. Tongs are set at both extremities of the sample to hold it in place. The testing machine will then apply force to the tape until it breaks. This test also allows us to measure other factors such as elongation.

Shear Static Test

This test measures the effects of permanent constraints on the tapes. A sample is applied on a surface and a weight is added. Sensors will then measure the time for the tape to peel off, if it happens. This test can be done in different heat and humidity conditions to simulate the effects of ageing on the tape.
